Acanthopthalmus Kuhlii Acanthopsis

Goldfish only go with goldfish. Do not get an algae eating fish such as a pleco. For one, your tank has not cycled yet and there is no algae for the fish to eat. Two a pleco is not the gentle plant eater everyone thinks they are. They are in fact nocturnal omnivours, and since goldfish like to sleep at night, the pleco can and will get nasty. I lost a 80 dollar ranchu to a 4 dollar pleco. They like to suck the slime coat and scales off of any fish they can get a hold of. Sleeping fancy goldfish will eventually be an easy target for them. So learn to keep the two you have correctly. Don't add any more. Get your water tested. Right now you really need to focus on the cycling of the tank. Ammonia and nitrite will be building up very quickly and are a threat to the lives of the two fish you have now. Don't be afraid to change a lot of water. 50% every other day for the first month.
